yoga cl 1 - Yoga 101

As anyone who knows anything about fitness and exercise knows that you have to start somewhere and move slowly, and the same principle applies to Yoga. Different hatha yoga disciplines, such as Iyengar or Bikram, require you to study under their own certified instructors.

A professional yoga instructor can guide you through different yoga techniques and ensure that you are doing them correctly and safely. Some people see it only as a workout, and as a result, Yoga has become classified, in the west, as an exercise. Yoga mainly trains the mind and body through poses and postures, also known as asanas.

A yoga instructor will slowly guide students through poses one at a time. They say that all forms of yoga help with your natural spirit and combining different forms of yoga for your personal needs is the best way to practice.

You may see Ashtanga yoga listed as power yoga. Most people breathe high in their chests. There are even some particular Yoga exercises called Inversions which are especially developed to improve stamina and the strength of the upper body, and these also help improve blood circulation.

Yoga clears your mind and helps you focus your attention. Those who participated in exercise at least two times a week have many positive effects and a happier life.
